Fotohistorias • Latino History Banners Unveiled in Central Falls

IMG_4802

Today we celebrated what's good in this world: Immigrants raising a dying industry from the ashes, in a small city one-square-mile in size and making it one giant success story for all of Rhode Island to be proud of.

Thank you to Central Falls High School and Progreso Latino for helping us raise awareness of this important history, to Mayor James A. Diossa for hosting this event, and to the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities for providing a grant to make this possible and for creating more discourse around this topic.

These historical panels will be on public display at City of Central Falls, RI City Hall until September 15, 2016. Stop by to check them out.
